Salted-Fish and egg soup with herbs | Chrouk krout chhnaing


Is a kind of dish that its process of cooking no need heat, just place in ingredients into bowl and pour water then sprinkle herb and taste. Sometime, they add some ice into this dish because one need the soup cool.

+ Ingredients
    - 50g salted fish, grilled and fleshed
    - 1 egg, boiled
    - 1 medium cucumber, julienne
    - 1 tomato, sliced
    - 1 tbsp ripe or green tamarind
    - 1/2 tsp white sugar
    - 1/2 tsp salt
    - 3 garlic cloves, crashed
    - 2 shallots, sliced thinly
    - 2-3 cups water
    - chi: khmer basil and mint

+ Method
   Grill salted-fish until cooked and flesh, set aside. Julienne cucumber, and slice tomato thinly. While boil egg, cool sliced into six parts. Herbs is thoroughly washed and cute into small. Next place ingredients into bowl then pour in water and use spoon to stick tamarind to release its sour tates. Season with salt and sugar. Finally, sprinkle herbs.
